Vesterålen Cabins

Share

Vesterålen cabins is located in Bø – in Vesterålen. The area is a excellent alternative to the Lofoten Islands with its many attractions and adventures.

Vesterålen Cabins

Bø, and especially on the seaside, has everything people who are looking for good nature experiences wants. Incredibly beautiful mountain hikes, archipelago and turquoise water for kayaking, popular beaches, midnight sun and northern lights.

The fisherman’s cabins were built in the 1700s 1800s by fishermen who lived in them. In recent years the cabins have been upgraded to today’s standard, but much of the original has been preserved. Luckily.

In other words, Vesterålen Cabins is a brilliant opportunity to live in a cozy cabin with a lot of history, and at the same time have beautiful nature, activities and adventures on your doorstep. Which is exactly what many people that travel to Northern Norway really want.

The cabins

Ingvaldbua Cabin

Ingvaldsbua is the largest cabin with 3 bedrooms on the second floor. It also has a modernized kitchen and bathroom with everything you would need, except towels. You can ask the host about towels or anything else you might need.

Mareliusbua Cabin

Mareliusbua has 2 bedrooms; one in the first, and one in the second floor. But the sofa in the living room/kitchen can turn into a bed with one or two extra spots. It also has a modernized kitchen and bathroom with everything you would need, except towels. You can ask the host if you need towels or anything else.

Bardobua Cabin

Bardobua has only one bedroom, but to compensate it is possible to sleep in the attic and on the sofa bed. The fisherman’s cabin thus has room for 5-6 people. It also has a modernized kitchen and bathroom with everything you would need, except towels. You can ask the host about that if you need towels or anything else.

“Damperiet” is a separate but included part the fisherman’s cabins. This building has in the past been used for cod liver oil production but has now been converted into a beautiful common area with kitchen / bar and fantastic seating’s. Due to Covid, there is currently no dining now, but it will eventually be possible to enjoy good food and drinks here. A nice and effective way to stay up to date is by following Vesterålen Rorbuer’s great instagram account.
