The summit of Moltinden offers a spectacular view extending over the Norwegian Sea, surrounding bays, and the mountain ranges in the region. The hike begins from a starting point near Ramberg on Flakstadøya (see directions). At times, the ascent can be steep, making it advantageous to have strong leg muscles to fully enjoy the hike.

Moltinden has not yet become a mainstream tourist destination, despite the exceptional view it offers. Therefore, it’s unlikely that you’ll encounter many other hikers along the way, which can be a significant advantage compared to the more famous mountain hikes in Lofoten. For many of us, the charm of exploring nature is significantly diminished when the trails are overcrowded.
