Munkebu hike and Munkan hike. Munkebu is DNT’s tourist cabin while Munkan is the mountain top that gives you one of the most spectacular views in Lofoten. The mountain top is quite close to the tourist cabin and this trip combines both.

About the Munkebu hike
Munkebu is DNT’s tourist cabin located on the road to Munkan, which is perhaps one of the mountain peaks that gives you the most spectacular views in Lofoten. The tourist cabin has about 15 beds, but if you are going to spend the night, it must be organized with DNT. If you walk a little further from the tourist cabin and follow the path, you will climb Munkan. From the top you will get a unique and spectacular view of mountain ranges and fjords in Lofoten. The trip requires that you are in such good shape and otherwise active as it is both long and gives many meters of altitude.
Be aware that although the maps are based on GPS tracks, the intention is still just to provide the starting point and approximate direction of the trip, and do not take into account exact positioning. The accuracy of maps and GPS can also vary slightly.
